One day

One day, someday, in another time, tomorrow, next month, next year —these words might come to pass because tomorrow is never promised. So this is your reminder to live your life as if it's your last. Be more afraid of doing things that won't last, things that won't matter when you're six feet below the ground. Touch life, wash feet, and live wholeheartedly, with a full heart, so that everything you touch becomes vibrant, alive, growing, and glowing. Enjoy dinner with your parents and siblings at the small dining table, laugh with your friends, tell some jokes, play with kids, and learn from them. Work and enjoy your toil. And when everything falls apart, remember that it too shall come to pass. Grieve, lament, and mourn, but make sure to get up because joy comes in the morning.

It's okay if you don't know what's next. There will be times when you might feel left behind, alone, or insignificant, but remember that your worth doesn't come from the outside. Life is full of miseries, mysteries, miracles, and full of grace. Kindly remember His grace when miseries are too much to bear. When you're wandering in the wilderness, crossing the Red Sea, facing Goliaths, agonizing in the Gethsemane, stuck in the ark, or sinking in the deepest water, please trust His heart whenever you can't trace His hands.

Have the courage to say the words that are hard to swallow: "Sorry, I hurt you, I forgive you, and I love you." Have the courage to forgive the ones who caused pain to you and move forward. Have the courage to let go of the things that no longer define you. Have the courage to take a leap of faith. Have the courage not to listen to everything that barks. Have the courage to pursue what ignites your soul, even if it means being uncomfortable and lost in the intricate pattern of life.

Have the courage to venture down the narrow road. Have the courage to embrace who you are: "You are His." Have the courage not to live for someone else or just for yourself but live for the One who knows your inmost being and the One who gives you purpose. Go and chase after His heart. Life is uncertain, but death is certain, tomorrow is never promised. A life well-lived receives "well done, faithful servant" from His master.

Safe space

May we all pursue what He calls us to do, and may we have the courage to liberate ourselves from the limitations we put into ourselves, from the cages that we build around ourselves, from our own toxicity, pride, and unbelief. May His love be our safe space so we can pursue what He calls us to do with pure intentions and pure hearts. Take heart!
