To my First Love,

I never thought that I would be loved like this. You love me from my inmost being; its so gentle, pure, certain, and genuine. You give me the love that I won't deserve and call me worthy of this love. You love me not because of what I can offer nor what I can give but because You are love. You shut all the lies around; give me identity and purpose. Your grace always carries over whenever I couldn't continue and remind me of your promises. You're the only One who always pursue, love, value, and cherish me perfectly because that's who you are. You answered NO in my prayers and protect me from heartaches and troubles. You correct my failures and give consequences so I can grow and be the person you always wanted me to be.

There are times when I can't understand your ways but you give me peace that surpasses understanding. There are days when I can't feel your presence but everything around me speaks for your glory. There are moments when I become impatient in waiting for your answers but you always empower me with your Word. Your favor and provisions are always there reminding me that you're always faithful.

This moment reminds me of your birth; not grandiose nor alluring in the manger, swaddled in clothes, surrounded by ordinary people - the shepherds and the animals, yet the most glorious day ever. Giving me hope, reassuring us that you also came in small not to impress but to serve and to save, as a constant reminder of your unfailing and unconditional love not only for me but for everyone. Your birth offers us peace, joy, and hope; and your name Immanuel assures us that, "God is with us." You never leave us. you're the first, the beginning, and the ending.

My life would be a mess without You.

Thank you, Jesus Christ. Thank you for everything and for your love that never fails. I don't deserve this love but thank you because you're my first love and my forever.

She will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel, which means "God is with us."
