To the woman who is always liked but never pursued

You are worthy to be pursued, valued, and cherished.

Maybe others are yelling at you, “you have high walls that are so hard to break or you’re too independent and you don’t need someone.” At times you may feel there’s something wrong with you or you’re not attractive enough or smart enough. Maybe someone told you you’re too much and you deserve someone better. At times you may feel overlooked and unappreciated. Or perhaps there are days you utter this popular song, “I’m the problem, it’s me.”

A good mentor once told me, “you will never be wrong to the right person; you are always more than enough for them.” You don’t need to convince them of your worth. You don’t need to force and beg for love because the truth is the right person will pursue, value, and cherish you as a woman. The right person will try harder to win your heart. You don’t need to compromise your values and beliefs; so never settle for less.

You are going to meet the one- the person who sees your beautiful soul more than your pretty face. The person who calls you beautiful even with your messy hair, puffy eyebags, and pimple marks. The person who holds your hand when you’re anxious and afraid. The person who ignites your mind and heart and connects deeply with your very soul. The person who stands beside you when you’re shining and even when you’re breaking. The person who prays for you even you don’t know. The person that God prepares exactly just for you.

So stop contemplating if you are the one who is always liked and never pursued. God is protecting you, He knows your prayers and He knows you’ve been preparing for it, but right now all you need to do is trust His timing.

Take your time- to know HIM more, to get along with others and with yourself. Serve while you’re young and you will see how blessed you are as a person. Celebrate others’ successful relationships and listen to their advice. Celebrate your small wins and celebrate who you’re becoming.

Be the right one first, be the person you hope to be with.

You are precious to me. You are honored and I love you.
