brave soul

journal prompts day 135

I am not afraid anymore.

I am not afraid to miss out on things; the current trends, popular beliefs, and lifestyles of other people. I am not afraid to be alone in the coffee shop while reading my favorite book. I am not afraid to love and to get hurt. I am not afraid to try new things and to fail. I am not afraid to pursue what ignites my soul instead of following someone else’s dreams. I am not afraid to be left out by my favorite buddies. I am not afraid to be lost in the intricacies of life. I am not afraid to be left behind by other people who succeed ahead of me. I am not afraid to follow the road less traveled by many. I am not afraid to listen to my beats instead of listening to others and finding faults and imperfections of being “me.” I am not afraid to make mistakes and forgive myself and show grace as always instead of justifying my wrong actions and decisions and face the consequences with humility.

And because of that, I enjoy life at its best now. Trusting the giver of life and following His light one day at a time, following His steps wherever He leads because His presence is always the best place in this changing world.

“You gonna be so willing to miss what the world offers so you can hear what God wants you to do and what He wants you to receive because when He gives it’s always the best.”
