Have you seen your friends soaring high in their careers, growing in their relationships, and already fulfilling their life goals? And here you are, still trying to figure out your purpose.
You can't deny the fact that sometimes jealousy creeps into your whole being. You know you have been working so hard to fulfill your goals, to fix all the broken pieces of your past, and to move toward God-given dreams. You know your faith makes you stronger but there are times when situations become totally devastating. You know that you've been doing good but barricades keep hindering your way and make you stumble along the way.
It's hard to take another step and take another leap of faith when you're unsure of what tomorrow might bring. It's really hard to trust uncertainties when there are no guaranteed results.
Will you try again, will you trust again, will you hope again, and will you believe again?
These are also my questions.
Some of my prayers are not yet answered and some of my plans failed. I have been waiting for my breakthrough and I feel, I am left behind too in terms of relationships, success in career, ministry, and family. But for sure, His ways are better than mine and His thoughts are higher than my thoughts. I realized once again that sometimes our breakthrough is the most painful process, when we have nothing but the Lord, not our dreams, wants, or any material things that the world offers. Not even a person, but only our relationship with Jesus will give us satisfaction in life.
I felt left behind because I don't have any of those things that the world offers. But I forget that I have the most important thing and the best moments in my life. It's my relationship with my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
I pray that you will be reminded that you are not left behind because you don't have the "so-called success" that society dictates you have. You are not left behind because you are not in a relationship just like what you see on social media. You are not left behind because you are just a typical employee. You are not left behind because you are not recognized by your teacher or your boss. You are not left behind because you are not living in your dream house. You are not left behind because you came from a broken family.
Yes, you are not left behind. We are not left behind because Jesus walks with us.
Let's end this 2020 and embraced this new year hoping and moving toward Jesus.
"And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."- Matthew 28:20
