let it fall, let it flow, let it go…

There is a timeĀ for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: Ecclesiastes 3:1

Fallen leaves and flowers, and cold breeze of air- seems like Autumn. A good walk, a time to listen to the silent whisper of air beneath the lake, a time to sit down under the tree and gaze upon the sky, and a time to let the flowers and leaves fall, flow, and let them go from the branches of trees.

Let it fall, let it flow, and let it go.

November, just a few more days we'll be changing year once again but may November reminds you that it's okay to let the flowers fall, to let the leaves gently fall on the ground yet can still add beauty to nature even when it turns dry.

Just like some of your dreams that need to fall from your journal list, some of your unanswered prayers, and some of your desires hidden inside your heart. It's okay to let them fall, let them go in the places they are supposed to be, and let them go from your grip.

Do not be frightened nor be in a rush when November comes, thinking you have few days left to fulfill all the goals and dreams you wrote down at the start of the year. There are ebbs and flows in life. Sometimes you need to go along the beat and rhythm of life knowing you are safe in His hands. You will naturally fall at times and get wounds, you will be disappointed and discouraged when some of your dreams have fallen, when your hopes turn dried, and when your passion gets buried. Just like leaves in November.

It was November, last year was full of fears and worries, same place beside the lake- quiet walks in my quiet season. Feeling lost in the intricate pattern of life, searching for answers, and finding purpose. It was November that I've started writing the clamor inside my heart, it was November that I thought life ended when my dreams weren't fulfilled. But writing saved me again- it was Him telling me to write, it was Him igniting my passion once again, it was Him bringing my letters to the people who needed them the most.

And it has always been Him because it's all for Him.

So to you- feeling lost amid November. It's okay to let go of some of your dreams and be buried. Loosen your grip and surrender to the One who holds the season. Because after that season, it will spring into a new life- more purposeful, more passionate, more driven with pure intentions for His glory and His Kingdom.

And you will realize November is worth celebrating too.

There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:

a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.

Sacred space

In multitudes we find comfort in being connected, in abundance, we find fullness and joy, in success, we find meaning and purpose and in emptiness, we find failings and breakings. Surely, it's painful but there is so much healing in stillness, a breakthrough in a quiet and lonely place when no one is watching, only you and God. In the wilderness, a barren and desolate place, we can find beauty and solace in being honest with ourselves and just pouring out our hearts to God.
