Just show up every day! Show up in your prayer room. Show up for your goals. Show up to serve. Show up to dream. Show up to your purpose. Show up even if you're scared. Just show up this 2023!
I've been saying these words since the year started. I will try harder to show up even if I don't know what's next, even if it feels scary and unfamiliar, and even if my effort and hard work don't yield results yet. I don't really like to be on social media but this is my reality right now. I need to pursue my business so I could have additional income while studying. I need to share my writings so I can connect to other people and remind them they're not alone. I'm glad that there are some people who really appreciate my writings like it's so surreal. It's for His glory! I believe He touches hearts and my only task is to show up and write.
I am already in the last year of my master's degree yet I don't know if I am able to finish it because thesis writing is so hard. I was really frustrated last year and was unable to do it. It's already the last sem and my final dissertation. So earlier I interviewed one of the participants of my study and the Lord is so good because she is nice and warm. Her words tap my shoulder during the interview session. God reminds me again that there's someone who shows up and invests her time in my dream. This gives me the courage to try again and put my faith in Him. Surely, He'll be with me until the end.
Perhaps, you've been procrastinating too on some valuable tasks that you needed to do and you're so afraid to try again. You're afraid of the possible results, you're afraid of failure just like me thus it's easier to step back and not to persevere right? It's so discouraging once we give our best hence it won't yield our desired results. That's totally a risk! But let's be success seekers than failure avoiders.
For me, showing up means persevering and surrendering. We're called to be faithful stewards of His grace. When we know that we're working for the Lord, we will be reminded that our effort is not in vain. We will fail most of the time but He constantly gives us the strength to believe and to persevere in our lives. We will learn to surrender the fruits of our labor to Him because He gives us success once we commit our plans and work for them for His glory. We will reap what we sow; so let's plant a prayer now, let's plant goals and pursue them with courage, let's plant our dreams with our knees, and let Him guide us through the process.
If you're working for Him, He will sustain you. He will give you strength, wisdom, courage, and perseverance. Your part is to show up; persevere and surrender.
Meryl just show up!
Kayo rin! At the end of this year let's reflect on this.
Commit your work to the Lord and your plans will be established.
