half-hearted

I hope this season you get rid of your half-hearted effort, half-hearted passion, and half-hearted service because you are afraid of giving your whole heart in every work of your hand cause it might turn into vain. You might be discouraged when you give your full and others give halves; you might be disappointed when you take the extra mile while others take few steps, and you might be disheartened when you give plenty while others give little.

You might be anxious when you try harder while others don’t see your effort. But what if you try to pour out your whole heart in every work of your hands this season? Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might knowing for in the realm of the dead, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning, nor knowledge, nor wisdom.

You might not be able to do it tomorrow anyway. So why not try to start now and start pouring out your heart?

You can do things differently, you can move forward from the past and look beyond the horizon. Leave all your baggage, worries, fears, hurts, and disappointments. You can start a new beginning each day and I think that's the beauty of life, knowing that tomorrow is never a promised and every little thing will pass sooner or later. Indeed, we can't turn back the hands of time.

So why not give your whole heart as you walk towards the narrow road knowing that your heart will be renewed day by day?

As 2 Corinthians 4:16 says, "Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day."
