Quiet Walks

I am weird.

I love quiet walks. I love the tranquility and solemnity of being alone. I like to roam my eyes and let my feet absorb the noise around me. I always crave slow days even in mundane or peculiar places. A day with rain and coffee, nor a night with the stars and moon.

I always try to deviate from the real world even for a glimpse of an hour. It gives me energy and it makes my heart rhythm in peace. Spotlights, social interaction, noise, and commotion make me tired. Hence, this is my life today. I need to live with it. I need to get out of my cocoon, spread my wings, and fly away. But, I return back to my cocoon and hide for a moment whenever I need to refuel myself.

Time like this allows me to be myself, allows me to hear the beats thudding in my chest, and allows me to dive deep down into my soul. It leads me into gratitude and appreciates the unseen miracles we have each day.

I always make sure that I could show up for myself too. I allow myself to experience the things that I wanted: to see the paintings that I wanted to see, to eat food that I wanted to eat, to wear the clothes that I wanted to wear, to read the books that I wanted to read, and to venture the path that I wanted to take.

Life is short, you must allow yourself to be yourself even if you're alone.

I am not lonely, these small things make me happy. I do have family and good friends with me. I just want to hear His voice and reflect on my life.

Showing up for yourself allows you to appreciate the person that you see in the mirror. The struggles that you conquered, the path that you ventured, the people that you met, and the lessons that you learned.

Hope in Jesus

This Christmas, I'm reminded of Him in the manger, sobbing like a typical infant while being swaddled in clothes. Giving us hope, reassuring us that He also comes in small, not to impress but rather to serve, as a constant reminder of His incredible love for us offers us peace, joy, and hope.

You’ll get there too

One step at a time, just one single step each day. Hurry empties the soul never underestimate the season of preparation. You'll get there too. A lot of things can change in the next few years, your circumstance today doesn't mirror your tomorrows. As long as you're persevering, you'll get there too.
