When God wants you to wait, wait!

To ignore His plan is a disaster.- Dr. Charles Stanley

God has a plan for your life. He does not withhold good things from His children. He is loving and He wants the best for you. God's timing is essential, if you always grab what is in front of you, you might miss God's very best. He knows your strength and weaknesses and He knows when and where you're most vulnerable and He doesn't want you to suffer. He wants the very best in your life but perhaps you are not capable of receiving His best so He's still teaching and preparing your character for it.

Only He knows when You are ready for His blessings. He's not in a hurry so you don't need to rush or get ahead of Him because He is too wise to be mistaken.

NOT NOW- because He knows if you will have it now; it will be a disaster, and you won't enjoy its beauty. You won't miss what He prepares for you when you just walk in obedience. And at times the best does not come as quickly, you need to wait and prepare for it.

God requires you to wait to test and strengthen your faith in him. He knows what fits in your life and what doesn't. Your willingness to wait reveals the value of what you're looking for. Your character while waiting matters most. Are you waiting hurriedly or patiently? fearfully or courageously? with a peaceful heart or with an anxious heart?

God is preparing also the circumstances to be ready because it involves other people too or other things, God loves other people too, He doesn't act on our behalf when somebody gets hurt or losses. He acts on our behalf to fit His perfect plan for us so we have to wait. He has to purify our motives. And He doesn't want us to be selfish, He wants us to be like Christ in our character and in conduct. He is an awesome God who provides the best for His children.

Resist the temptation to listen to the pressure of others, resist the temptation to follow your own schedule, and get ahead of Him. It takes patience to wait for Him. Wait quietly, patiently, and expectantly. Trust Him, you can always lean on His character.

What areas of your life it is most difficult to wait?

Waiting has great advantages, it's good to wait for some things, and some things become richer and richer when you want to wait for them. You can have it now but there are consequences. You can have it now, but there's a price to pay. But when you wait prayerfully, obediently, and hopefully upon the Lord, He will give you genuine peace.

But the consequence of failing to wait is disobedience- delaying God's blessings, you may bring confusion and suffering to yourselves, and it causes suffering and heartaches to others. You still have a choice you can quit and walk away. Or choose the best thing in your life and wait for it.

We can wait and watch how God works. Let Him do his way.

Friday Nights

The weather was gloomy, I looked outside and the gates were locked. The mood was different. I missed the aroma of your coffee, our deep conversation, and your sincere care for us. Friday nights, it wouldn't be the same as before.
