To the ones who feel lost and forgotten

This is your reminder - it's only one chapter of your life; it's not the whole story. Lost is not synonymous with failure. You're actually finding your way and seeking the right path this time. Productivity isn't always loud; it's not always occupied with a lot of things. Sometimes you need to pause and be still for a moment, just listen.

There are days when your shoulders feel heavy under the weight of pressures and disappointments you hold within yourself. There are moments in your story when it seems hard to move forward and you start questioning your worth. There are days you feel there are no shoulders to lean on and no hands to hold. It seems everyone is doing their things and you feel you're forgotten. Some days you want to show up and there are days you want to stay in bed. And most days it won't make sense. That's part of your story.

Allow yourself to feel all the emotions but don't live with them. Don't invalidate yourself and never suppress your feelings; let them flow and slowly let them go. Give yourself permission to be yourself and to accept your realities.

But you know the best thing to do is -to listen.

Listen to your body. Maybe you worked a lot back then and you're given a chance to pause and rest for a while. Soak at the moment and breathe, don't beat yourself when you're in the season of resting. Look how far you've become. Instead of counting all the accomplishments and material things you have or don't have; gaze at the person you see right now. More confident, content, grateful, hopeful, and courageous…

Listen to your voice. Maybe you desire to do other things which differ from the society expects you to be and you are uncertain to do it. If it ignites your soul just go for it even if it's unfamiliar at first. Instead of listening to the opinion and marks of random people, ask for counsel from mature people around you.

Listen to your heart. Maybe you feel you're not growing anymore, it feels like you're stuck in the cage, following everyone's routines and expectations. If this is what you feel, this is so liberating. You're longing for change and growth and that's what we are supposed to be.

At the end of the day, you will be the one to live your life. Your choices and decisions always depend on you.

We're in the same boat yet it differs for each one of us. We are living in different stories; we have different plots, characters, and conflicts. But I do believe there's One writer behind all of these. I do believe that God writes my story and I'm here to experience all of the pain, defeat, joy, failures, and success to see how great He is. God's grace covers me, His love assures me and reminds me that He's with me all throughout my unique story.

And as I continually ask and seek His presence in this journey, He reminds me of these verses:

Jeremiah 1:8- Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you," declares the Lord.

Proverbs 9:10-11- The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding and years will be added to your life.

Zechariah 4:10- Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin.

Hebrew 13:5- I will never leave you nor forsake you.

And I realized I'm not lost nor forsaken in this journey because God is with me and I can stand on His words, all I need is to wait and follow Him in this process. He's a great storyteller and I can always lean on the beginning, middle, and ending of each chapter He writes.

This too shall pass.
