The Irony of Life

How ironic life is?

You met people who caused pain to you, then eventually made you stronger. You met people who made you feel like small, then eventually taught you to dream bigger. You met people who would treat you with roughness then eventually lead you to your toughness. You met people who were unkind to you, so you've learned the value of kindness. You met people who would blame you for many things then eventually you learned not to point fingers toward others. You met people who constantly leave you, but eventually you learned to make all people feel at home. You met people who unloved every part of you, but eventually you learned the real meaning of love: to love others and to value others just like Christ did.

Life is tough but always beautiful, if you can breathe, life is still beautiful despite of all the hard battles you are facing. Just release all the toxicity inside as you exhale and always inhale His grace. We are living in a fallen world with flawed human beings. Intentionally or unintentionally, we cause pain to others; we hurt one another, and we always blame each other. That's what the enemy wants us to be, to continue hurting one another and to cause pain to each other.

But as believers and followers of Christ, He designed us to be like Him, to show his light in this dark world. Perhaps, we need to experience a lot of brokenness here so we will be reminded that only God can give us the genuine happiness we are craving for in this world, the real success is in Him. As I write this one, my heart is full of joy yet tears are pouring. I just realized God is so loving and faithful. And if Jesus did all of those while he was living here, for us, who am I not to follow His ways?

Heaven is our home. I can't imagine seeing him and embracing me, like missing him so much. Who is not excited to see Jesus? And to experience life in heaven, full of joys, worshipping, and praising the King of kings. No tears anymore, no suffering, no pain, and no hurts. But while we are here, our character is tested, trials purify us and refine our hearts to be more like Him, to grow in faith, and to show Christlikeness in this world. And following Christ is always hard. It is forgetting yourself and choosing His ways, forgetting the desires of your flesh, and listening to the power of the Holy Spirit.  But life with Christ is full of meanings, full of joys and full of peace!

Are we becoming like Christ?

33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

John 16:33

We who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak and not to please ourselvesEach of us should please our neighbors for their good, to build them up. For even Christ did not please himself but, as it is written: “The insults of those who insult you have fallen on me.”[a] For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope.

May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus hadso that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Romans 15:1-5

9 Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. 10 Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. 11 Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. 12 Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer13 Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.

14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse15 Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. 16 Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position.[c] Do not be conceited.

17 Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone. 18 If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. 19 Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,”[d] says the Lord. 20 On the contrary:

“If your enemy is hungry, feed him;
if he is thirsty, give him something to drink.
In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.”[e]

21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Romans 12:9-21

35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

John 13:35

BUT whoever keeps his word, in him truly the love of God is perfected. By this we may know that we are in him: whoever says he abides in him ought to walk in the same way in which he walked.
