Women give birth. Women nourish life. And they also bring life into the world soulfully, relationally, spiritually-in everything they touch. Satan was a murderer from the beginning (John 8:44). He brings death. And thus Eve is his greatest human threat, for she brings life. She is a lifesaver and a life giver. Eve means "life" or "life producer." My journey to womanhood is kinda liberating, liberating in the sense that I've started to know the ways of the enemy and started to seek God more. Our generation now has different ideologies of becoming a woman in the 21st century. They say you should be independent- your choices depend on you, you don't need someone anymore, and you are not defined by anyone or anything simply because "you are your own!" And many of us fall into this kind of trap.
We are different from one another but Satan the Father of lies, tries harder to accuse us, and instills false beliefs that don't come from God, he assaults us with a special hatred. Thus, I understand every one of you every time you message me and converse about our fears, worth, and our struggles as young women.
He instills those lies that often question our worth and significance, our if only- if only I had been prettier, smarter, richer, and many other things that have a great emphasis in our time. You feel like you don't have an essential role in a great adventure and you have no beauty to unveil. Your wounds and hurts are always screaming painfully to you that you deserve it because you are not enough and you won't measure up.
But the truth is Satan has set against every woman from the day of her birth. It's the emotional and spiritual equivalent of leaving a little girl by the side of the road to die. And to every woman he has whispered. You are alone, or when they see you who really are, you will be alone or no one will ever truly come for you. He is the one who has dogged your heels with shame and self-doubt and accusation. He is the one who offers false comforters to you in order to deepen your bondage. He is the one who has done these things in order to prevent your restoration. For that is what he fears. He fears who you are; what you are; what you might become. He fears your beauty and your life giving heart. Captivating
It's okay if you sometimes feel like you're not enough. That's because, on your own, you are inadequate and incapable. But don't worry, there is Someone above all these things who loves and cares for you. God is always pursuing and protecting you, and takes delight in you. His eyes are ever upon you, and He calls you beloved. Even when facing your enemies, remember that there is One greater who has sought you out since the beginning of time. He can heal your broken heart and restore your feminine soul. All you need to do is give Him permission to enter your life and experience His great love for you.
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, so that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. God did not send His Son into the world to condemn it, but so that the world might be saved through Him. Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is already condemned, because they have not believed in the name of the only Son of God." (John 3:16-18). His death on the cross is the ultimate proof of His love for you. His resurrection brings life and healing to all the broken parts that no longer define you. In Jesus, you will experience a life that is dependent on Him alone - a life that is filled with peace, joy, assurance, and hope. Ask for forgiveness for your sins - for believing the lies of the enemy - and start believing in the name of Jesus Christ.
It's time for your restoration and beloved you are not meant to do it all alone. He will bring people into your life who would be courageous enough to protect, guide, love, and rebuke you- Godly people. We need them in our lives as we walk to the path that He prepared for us.
Again keep in mind-you are passionately loved by the God of the universe. You are passionately hated by his enemy.
